Jona, Pia, and Evelyn,
Thank you so much for your card and orchid arrangement...this was very thoughtful and is greatly appreciated. Mom loved flowers and often used them in her paintings so this is a fitting remembrance for her.
Even though "B" couldn't always express it, she was very comfortable and happy at Bon Homie and appreciated all that you and the staff did for the residents. After being there for almost two years, everyone feels like family. Please know that if presented with the opportunity in the future, we would happily refer people to Bon Homie RCH.
On behalf of the whole Foster Family "thank you".

Hi Jona,
Thank you very much for your time and interest in meeting with me yesterday. I am very impressed by all that you have accomplished with your care homes! Your home was cheerful and welcoming, and your residents appear to be comfortable and well cared for.
I am excited about the new opportunities that may stem from my upcoming move, and am particularly interested in developing some new services to support board and care homes. As we discussed, the smaller homes have different needs than larger facilities and need support. I will certainly welcome feedback and suggestions from you, as I appreciate your skills and experience. Let's stay in touch!
Warm regards,
M.F.

From Dave and Aileen (for Bon Homie Saratoga)
It has been a year that Grace and Arnel (Care providers) have been at at Bon Homie Saratoga. It is a relief to know that our mother, Bernice Foster, is being looked after by the two of the kindest and most considerate individuals we have met. Having them at home daily has made it comfortable for residents and family alike.
They both have acted in a professional, yet warm manner, whenever we have been at the home. They work together to keep Bernice dressed appropriately and in clean clothing, which is uplifting for her. They do well in keeping up her personal hygiene as well as keeping her room, her bathroom and the rest of the home clean and free from safety concerns. Together they prepare nutritious meals and special snacks that she and the others enjoy.
Grace, as well as Arnel work with Bernice to keep her as active as possible, yet don't allow her to "over do" so that she hurts herself. They are always very patient and understanding in dealing with her and assure her privacy and personal property rights are maintained. They follow our directions when caring for her and will call us when questions or concerns arise. They answer the phone appropriately when we call, will allow my mother to use the phone whenever she asks, and also assist her in that process as needed.
We trust Arnel and Grace completely to take care of Bernice with no hesitation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
Best regards,
Dave and Aileen

Dear Jona, Pia and Evelyn,
As we take a moment to celebrate Grace's birthday, I wanted to take time to tell you how terrific she and Arnel have been this past year. I marvel at the caring manner in which both of them worked with our mother and all of the residents.. Grace has amazing patience and great practical knowledge. She is constantly problem-solving health and comfort issues for my Mom, and as a result, helps her to feel as well as she can.
What Grace and Arnel bring to this house is a calm, confident and consistently positive attitude toward everything and everyone. They both treat all the residents as if they were family, and extend that feeling of welcome to the rest of us. Thew feeling is that we are part of a team, and our mother benefits from all of us communicating well and working together. Grace and Arnel are both a great prize for those of us seeking quality care for our ageing parents. I'm so glad that they work for Bon Homie because the have created a warm and wonderful environment for us all.
Fondly,
Linda Garner

Dear Jona, Joy and Gladys,
I wish to thank you for the wonderful care you are giving Irmgard. All of you are going the "extra" mile to make Irmgard comfortable and my job easier. I appreciate you treating her with dignity and respect, which is not easy at times due to the dementia.
Your home is always immaculate and the residents are well taken care of, especially the little touch of applying rouge means a lot and is always very much appreciated. Your residents have been professionals and you are treating them as such with loving care.
I'll be glad to give a recommendation to a relative of a prospective client. Again, thank you for everything you do for Irmgard.

I have enjoyed my time with everyone here at Bon Homie and I will miss everyone dearly. The care I have been given while here has been outstanding and I hope I will be as lucky in my new place in Henderson, NV. I will always remember everyone's kindness and outstanding care, and everyone will always be in my heart.

Our Mom lived at BonHomie’s Lincoln Pine home (in a private room) for approximately the last year of her life (2001-2002). While she would naturally have preferred to be living with one of her children, she was comfortable there and very well cared for. BonHomie was the next best thing to being home with her children.
The BonHomie staff (caregivers and supervisors/managers) always treated Mom like one of their family – with attentiveness, respect, gentleness, consideration, caring, and love. They seemed to especially enjoy her musical skills at the keyboard (she had one and played it daily – by ear), as well as her interest in crossword puzzles, which she also worked daily. Two of Mom’s four children (two brothers) live close enough to Lincoln Pine to be regular visitors while Mom was there – usually to just hang out with her – and sometimes to have dinner with her, or bring her to one of our homes for dinner or a weekend. We were always welcome visitors at the Lincoln Pine home, and the caregivers were always ready to feed us at meal time too. Their food was always good – and appropriate for the diverse tastes and needs of the residents.
Mom was in good health until the last 4-6 months of her life, when her decline became more evident. She was able to stay there in the Lincoln Pine home until the end. During Mom’s last 2 weeks, three of us spent a lot of time at her bedside, and during her last few nights, one of us slept alongside her in an extra bed set up by the caregivers. The caregivers and managers made it easy for us to be there as much as we needed to be there. We felt that Mom’s caregivers were as deeply saddened by her passing as we were. We were (and still are) extremely grateful that Mom was able to stay at the Lincoln Pine Home until her ultimate journey and not have to be transferred to a hospital.
We recommend the BonHomie Residential Care Homes without reservation. We think it would be difficult to find other residential care homes of equal quality.
